BRUCE DREANY
PRESIDENT
Bruce Dreany is the President of Pro Rescue Services, a position he has held since he co-founded the company in 2013. In this role, Bruce oversees the corporate vision, strategy, and overall operations of Pro Rescue Services.
With a robust background in technical rescue spanning 30 years in the oil and gas, power generation, and firefighting industries, Bruce brings invaluable expertise to the table. He has spent over 25 years as a captain with the City of Edmonton Fire Department, specializing in technical and water rescue teams. His leadership is consistently tested in high-stress situations, including rope rescue, confined space, trench collapse, structural collapse, and swift/static water and ice rescue, and he has instructed internationally in these areas. His real-life experience is a tremendous asset to the company and to our customers.
Before joining the City of Edmonton Fire Department, Bruce worked in the industry as a pipefitter, focusing on the new construction of gas plants and pipelines. His military background has instilled in him the discipline to focus and execute tasks safely and efficiently.
Bruce is a proud member of the Métis Nation of Alberta and has actively worked with First Nation communities throughout northern Alberta. As a burn survivor, supporting the burn treatment center holds significant importance for Bruce.

Kirby Smith
CA, CPA CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Kirby is the second co-founder of Pro Rescue Services and has been with the company since its inception in 2013. As the CFO, Kirby manages all financial matters of the company including customer estimates and proposals, financial and risk strategies and corporate planning.
With over 30 years of experience in the financial operations of public and private companies, Kirby has spent 20 of those years in senior management positions with Western Canadian-based service companies within the energy, construction, and power generation industries. Kirby understands the critical importance of a safe workplace and the value of management visibility and leading by example in support of a strong corporate safety program.
Born and raised in Alberta, Kirby is well-acquainted with the benefits and challenges of the Western Canadian marketplace and is committed to maintaining a customer-focused business. Kirby holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Professional Accountant.

Brad Normandeau
SAFETY/OPERATIONS MANAGER
Brad joined Pro Rescue Services in 2015 as the Safety and Operations Manager, where he oversees daily operations and manages the rescue teams. An accomplished Health & Safety professional with over 30 years of experience both in the field and at a management level, Brad has a proven track record of mitigating hazards and risks on projects of all sizes.
Brad is a tenacious problem solver with exceptional interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and the ability to defuse confrontations effectively. His expertise encompasses Occupational Health & Safety legislation interpretation, Health & Safety procedure and practice building, emergency response, project management, accident investigation, hazard assessment, training program development and delivery, claims management, and industrial hygiene.
Recognized within the safety industry as a problem solver and designer of methods that evoke participation from all levels, Brad has a proven ability to lead and manage Health & Safety projects across multiple industries, including construction and various heavy industry environments.

Accidents are generally preventable; however, accidents do happen and crucial first response can be the difference between life and serious injury, even death. Our rescue professionals deal with a variety of rescues, every day, it’s our livelihood.
